Established as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the IQAC plays a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing educational standards.
Objectives of IQAC
1. Quality Enhancement: To develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions.
2. Institutionalization of Quality Practices: To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
Functions of IQAC
1. Development and Application of Quality Benchmarks: Setting benchmarks for various academic and administrative activities.
2. Facilitating Learner-Centric Environment: Ensuring a conducive environment for quality education and faculty maturation.
3. Feedback Mechanism: Collecting and analyzing feedback from students, parents, and other stakeholders.
4. Documentation and Reporting: Preparing the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per NAAC guidelines and submitting it to NAAC.
Composition of IQAC
The IQAC is typically chaired by the head of the institution and includes heads of important academic and administrative units, a few teachers, and representatives from the local community and stakeholders
