Department of Home Science
"The Department of Home Science at LNT College has a rich history and has always played a major role in empowering women, enabling them to participate in decision-making processes and take on leadership roles in various walks of life. The department has distinguished itself from others by addressing key issues such as illiteracy, malnutrition, gender discrimination, and other social evils. Numerous activities, including seminars, workshops, debates, as well as academic rigor and research, have been conducted. Currently, Dr. Abha Rani, a BPSC-selected assistant professor, leads the department and is continuously working towardits excellence. At present, only minor courses in Home Science are offered, but due to its wide scope for students and the college, preparations are underway to introduce an Honours and Master's degree in Home Science at LNT College."
